The main purpose of the (RTDs) Round Table Discussions is to build a forum for critical dialogue. When the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud urge the citizens of Saudi Arabia in particular and of the Muslim world in general to engage in dialogue to promote peace and development, WSI took the initiative to create venues for the Saudi society to discuss issues related to civil society, rule of law, etc., and build on these discussion action plans to further develop these ideas.
Some of the table discussion topics include the following: Social Media in Saudi Arabia, the Impact of Globalization on the Economy of Saudi Arabia, and the impact of society and religion in Saudi Arabia.
The lack of critical thinking and civil society activities in Saudi Arabia urge us to work together on finding venues to create a forum for like-minded people to discuss subjects needed to develop free thinking, and to promote and implement ideas to sustain and further develop the Saudi Arabia leading position in the Muslim world.
We welcome each reader who concern about these issues to benefit and to comment on the topics related to their work or interest.
